GeoEVENVIRONMENTAL SCREENING

READ RESULTS WITH CONTEXT

Screening, with boundaries.

Human review comes first

GeoEV provides deterministic spatial findings. It does not determine NEPA applicability, significance, permitting obligations, compliance, legal rights or property boundaries. Regulatory recommendations are not part of the current screening tool.

Coverage is source-specific

A complete false means no matching records were found by the selected source query. It does not prove environmental absence, clean air, an attainment designation, or unmapped conditions. Study areas, publication dates, standards and raster resolution matter.

Know the statuses

Captured values or true indicate matches reported by the source. False is a complete no-match. Null is unknown/incomplete. Service Call Failed is a failed provider evaluation. An HTTP-successful response can contain incomplete layer findings.

Location references and imagery

PLSS layers provide reference information, not survey-grade boundaries. Map imagery is illustrative source rendering and may be scale-dependent or unavailable while screening still works. Raster findings depend on source cell size and do not have exact vector boundary precision.

Limits and third-party data

Providers can be unavailable, change their schemas or update their data during a query. Completeness checks are best effort, not transactional snapshots. Use the bibliography to review source descriptions, vintages and attribution. Source access and reuse remain subject to provider terms.

Responsible access

Respect request limits and do not automate around security controls, repeatedly reset identities to evade allowances, or submit harmful files. Free access can be paused to protect availability and costs. Save results you need; the application is not an archive.

These are product-use explanations, not a claim of legal certification. Formal operator terms and source-rights review remain part of release approval.
